The FJR has been celebrated as one of the best touring motorcycles on the market, combining comfort, reliability and practicality into one machine. The ‘Semi Auto’style gearbox features an electronically controlled clutchless system that allows for gear changes without a manual clutch lever.
Yamaha have now developed the hugely popular Y-AMT, Yamaha Auto Manual System which work in a similar way, you will be plesently suprised by the riding experience.
This bike is all about touring comfort, featuring a shaft driven, 1298cc in-line four engine with specially designed low vibration crankshafts to provide capable passing power, while giving rider and pillion optimal comfort. The frame is constructed from aluminium, creating a lightweight but rigid chassis with good manoeuvrability. Comfort seats for both rider and pillion, 30L hard case panniers, heated grips, 12V outlet for phones /gadgets and adjustable wind screen come as standard. The 25L tank is capable of 40 – 45mpg, giving the bike an impressive range of 250 – 270 miles.
This bike comes with frame sliders, panniers, and 2 keys. We are able to source a topbox and mounting plate if needed.
